Many community efforts to reduce dependence on fossil fuels are being realized through the products sold by Sungate Energy Solutions which is helping to turn homes and businesses into places that get their energy through renewable energy such as the sun rather than from fossil fuels. One of the most successful community efforts is the Community Environmental Council of Santa Barbara County. Their mission is to solve important environmental issues that affect their community. Their goal is to get this area of California off of dependency on fossil fuels by the next generation.

Their mission is actually economic as well as environmental. The economic benefits would come from renewable energy with the use of everything from heating and cooling homes to hot water appliances and Sungate Energy Solutions can offer many products that will help to achieve those goals. Renewable energy costs a lot less overall than fossil fuel costs. The CEC is researching the creation of jobs through the technology of wind power, solar power and wave power from the ocean.  Renewable energy not only saves on the costs of fossil fuel but will help to create a cleaner means of powering our homes and businesses. The goal of this worthy organization is to see Santa Barbara County have 100% of the electricity generated from renewable energy happen within the next 25 years.
