What is a brownfield? Basically, it’s a term for an abandoned industrial site that will eventually be redeveloped. Brownfields are also known for their often polluted grounds and sub-grounds. Because of the pollutions, it’s often difficult to get rid of the health risks and as a result the land can’t be rehabilitated to become safe for housing or schools. It’s usually hard to sell to developers because of how much money it would take to rid the site of pollution.

Sungate Energy Solutions is enthused about one brownfield site that has found owners with a positive purpose for the land. Brockton Brightfield in Brocton, Massachusetts is one of the largest solar plants on the east coast of the United States. It opened with 1,395 photovoltaic panels and has on output of four hundred and twenty five kilowatts. It used to be a brownfield and now this 3.7 acre site is a solar power facility being put to positive use.

Sungate Energy Solutions would like to see more negative situations turned into positive ones like Brockton Brightfield. With so many manufacturing sites empty in this country, it would be great to put the land to positive use and build more solar energy plants. Solar energy is clean, renewable power and it’s free to use after the solar panels are installed. They would like to explain the process of installation of solar energy systems.

Man has always needed heat for survival. Sungate Energy Solutions is helping many people turn their homes and businesses ecofriendly and financially sound by using the sun as their main source of power.

Historians believe that as early as the Seventh Century B.C. man began to capture the sun’s heat with glass and mirrors to light fires. By the Third Century B.C. religious ceremonies spurred the discovery that torches of fire could be started by using mirrors to capture enough light to catch the straw on fire. Even today the concept of capturing light from the sun and increasing its energy through glass and mirrors is still used as a basis for solar energy.

In the Second Century B.C. man began using fire from the sun’s energy for war. The Greek Scientist, Archimedes, used the reflection from bronze shields to focus sunlight in order set fire to the invading ships from the Roman Empire. The ships were made of wood and later experiments proved it to be entirely probable.

Sungate Energy Solutions is working for a peaceful world using the sun’s energy rather than modern battles over fossil fuels. Solar power is free to everyone with the help of the installation of photovoltaic panels used to capture the sun’s light. To be a part of the future of solar energy, please visit Sungate Energy Solutions.

Sungate Energy Solutions has been helping property owners switch from fossil fuels to clean, renewable, and alternative solar energy. This has been an ongoing heartfelt project for over three decades. However, it isn’t necessary to own property to use the sun for your own energy saving resource.

For example, the sunlight that shines through your windows is a means for warming your apartment in the winter. It will work best if the shades or drapes are left open during the day and if the windows are clean. In the summer, it’s best to keep your apartment cooler with shades and drapes that keep the warmth outside so that you have to use less air conditioning.

In the winter months, instead of turning the thermostat higher for more heat, dress warmer and put on a sweater. Electricity used unnecessarily has a huge impact on the environment. Turn off the lights when you leave the room, switch all of your light bulbs to the new, energy saving type and plug all of your electronic devices into one power strip so that it’s convenient to turn them all off at one time.

If you’re a renter who wants to know what options you have should you be thinking of owning your own property, please visit Sungate Energy Solutions.

If everyone agrees that humans are growing in numbers on this planet and that the resources of earth will run out, then we all have a responsibility to be a part of the solutions and less of the problem. Sungate Energy Solutions has some easy theories as to why we need everyone to have a green conscience.

For example, in order to find solutions to problems, it’s best to know what the problems are. The earth is going through climate changes with polar ice caps and glaciers melting quickly. While it’s possible that the earth is going through a cyclical change, people can still affect the climate changes by being aware of what the dangers are of the uses of fossil fuels. Finding ways to pollute less by using more energy efficient products labeled with energy star is a beginning. Toxic chemicals have polluted our air, rivers, ground water and soil. Using fewer pollutants will help aid in the reduction of our carbon footprints. We also need to finally stop throwing away as much as we are and to start using things like reusable shopping bags instead of paper and plastic bags.

Sungate Energy Solutions has other ways that people can use less energy such as covering places like door and window frames to keep air from escaping. For more information regarding what you can do to lead a greener life, please visit Sungate Energy Solutions.

The Community Environmental Council (CEC) has a mission that advocates the transition from fossil fuel energy sources to renewable, eco-friendly, and clean energy use. The CEC has been working for real solutions to environmental challenges for over four decades. Sungate Energy Solutions has a great admiration for this council’s achievements.

The Community Environmental Council of Santa Barbara County has analyzed and then reported on their findings in a document called A New Energy Direction: A Blueprint for Santa Barbara County. This was a study completed in 2007 with the help of UC Santa Barbara, UC Berkeley, and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. The goal was to analyze objectively the costs and benefits of the region regarding living in and working in a fossil fuel free environment.

As Sungate Energy Solutions agrees, transitioning away from fossil fuels would save money over time. Renewable energy is less expensive than fossil fuel. Renewable energy also creates jobs, makes electricity less expensive and produces less need for pollution cleanup.

Sungate Energy Solutions would like to help people make the switch from the fossil fuel energy source to solar energy. We have been helping families transition from fossil fuel to solar energy for over three decades.

Sungate Energy Solutions is asking if there is such a thing as clean coal. If it exists, are there any clean coal power plants in America? Many ecologists believe that clean coal energy is a myth because there are no clean coal power plants. Perhaps it’s time for everyone to begin to take personal responsibility for our environment and the effects that it has on our lives.

At this point researchers are coming to the conclusion based on their own studies of whether clean coal production really exists, that clean coal is really an oxymoron. Of the approximate 600 coal plants in this country that produce electricity, not one of them is capable of capturing its pollution, hiding the effects of its pollution or creating a technical means of stopping one hundred percent of the CO2 that is created and being released into the atmosphere. In fact, they’re not even close. This CO2 remains in the atmosphere and will continue to contribute to global warming and other pollution events.

It’s time to make a person commitment to rid the world from burning coal, mining coal and distribution coal. One way to do this is to consider a change in how we heat and cool our homes and businesses. Sungate Energy Solution has the answer in solar energy which is clean, renewable and an inexpensive alternative to fossil fuels. Actually, solar energy is a form of energy that will free homeowners from the expensive electric bills that they pay utility companies every month. Please visit Sungate Energy Solutions for more information.

Sungate Energy Solutions is interested in helping people change from polluting fossil fuels to clean, renewable solar energy. Besides the financial savings on monthly power bills, the best reason of all is about the health of people who are breathing in particulate air pollution. That includes all of us.

What is particulate air pollution? It’s particles of solid or liquid matter in the air that contain nitrates, sulfates, organic chemicals, metals and soft dust such as from dirt. The smaller the particles, the easier they can get inside our bodies causing cardiovascular disease, lung diseases such as cancer and asthma as well as dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.

There is a lot that can be done to decrease the dangers of air pollution. We have the answers, but the people have to mandate the solutions to polluted air. The more renewable energy that is used in place of gasoline and diesel fuel, the less air pollution results. The less fossil fuel that is used to power our homes, the less air pollution there is.

Sungate Energy Solutions can help you to make the change in the energy that is used to heat and cool your homes as well as create hot water. The answer is to use the energy of the sun and it can be done quickly and with help from tax rebates.

In September of 1976, Congress passed the Toxic Substances Control Act known as TSCA which gave the authority to the EPA – the Environmental Protection Agency – to identify and regulate dangerous chemicals. Sungate Energy Solutions is aware of some of the chemicals that have been grandfathered into use at the time it was enacted. One of the chemicals is asbestos.

Since 1976, the law has not been amended to retest the 62,000 of the originally grandfathered chemicals to check on toxicity. Also, this law places the burden of determining a chemical to be safe or unsafe on the Environmental Protection Agency. It’s been impossible for the EPA to prove that all of these chemicals are safe and sound or if any of them are toxic to the people of the United States. In other words, it’s been an unreasonable burden for this agency to prove that any of these chemicals present an unreasonable risk.

Under the TSCA act, chemical companies can defer to trade secrets as a reason not to share toxic details to the public, local governments or the federal government or foreign countries to which we export these chemicals. As a result, American products may be less competitive to sell to other countries because their chemical laws are stricter. Sungate Energy Solutions knows that this could be true for fossil fuel additives as well. This is another reason to switch to clean, renewable energy such as solar energy.

Carbon emissions into the atmosphere have a long way to go before they disappear, but in the United States, these emissions are beginning to see a reduction. In 2008 alone, fossil fuel pollution fell by almost six percent. While Sungate Energy Solutions can point out a weaker economy as one reason and therefore, less demand for energy, another sound reason is the use of solar energy and wind power as alternatives producing power with fewer emissions.

Sungate Energy Solutions is looking forward to more solar plants. In fact, more solar projects are clearing regulations with the result of more solar facilities being built. In California, the Blythe project in Riverside County will be the largest solar facility in the world. The project will result in 250 megawatts to be developed to power more than 300,000 homes.

The project has one more challenge. It’s true that the California Energy Commission has approved this project, but the Federal Bureau of Land Management needs to approve it as well. It’s expected to happen.

This is one example of the push to allow homeowners and businesses to switch to renewable energy. There are numerous advantages both environmentally as well as economically to the change from fossil fuels to a more consistent source of clean and renewable power. For more information as to how you can step into the realm of solar energy for use in your home, visit Sungate Energy Solutions.
