Man has always needed heat for survival. Sungate Energy Solutions is helping many people turn their homes and businesses ecofriendly and financially sound by using the sun as their main source of power.
Historians believe that as early as the Seventh Century B.C. man began to capture the sun’s heat with glass and mirrors to light fires. By the Third Century B.C. religious ceremonies spurred the discovery that torches of fire could be started by using mirrors to capture enough light to catch the straw on fire. Even today the concept of capturing light from the sun and increasing its energy through glass and mirrors is still used as a basis for solar energy.
In the Second Century B.C. man began using fire from the sun’s energy for war. The Greek Scientist, Archimedes, used the reflection from bronze shields to focus sunlight in order set fire to the invading ships from the Roman Empire. The ships were made of wood and later experiments proved it to be entirely probable.
Sungate Energy Solutions is working for a peaceful world using the sun’s energy rather than modern battles over fossil fuels. Solar power is free to everyone with the help of the installation of photovoltaic panels used to capture the sun’s light. Carbon emissions into the atmosphere have a long way to go before they disappear, but in the United States, these emissions are beginning to see a reduction. In 2008 alone, fossil fuel pollution fell by almost six percent. While Sungate Energy Solutions can point out a weaker economy as one reason and therefore, less demand for energy, another sound reason is the use of solar energy and wind power as alternatives producing power with fewer emissions.
Sungate Energy Solutions is looking forward to more solar plants. In fact, more solar projects are clearing regulations with the result of more solar facilities being built. In California, the Blythe project in Riverside County will be the largest solar facility in the world. The project will result in 250 megawatts to be developed to power more than 300,000 homes.
The project has one more challenge. It’s true that the California Energy Commission has approved this project, but the Federal Bureau of Land Management needs to approve it as well. It’s expected to happen.
This is one example of the push to allow homeowners and businesses to switch to renewable energy. There are numerous advantages both environmentally as well as economically to the change from fossil fuels to a more consistent source of clean and renewable power. For more information as to how you can step into the realm of solar energy for use in your home, visit Sungate Energy Solutions.

Sungate Energy Solutions is always interested in the work being done regarding alternative energy. In the world’s quest to find another type of fuel, many believed the answer was in agricultural grown fuels. Corn and sugar became the poster children of a friendly alternative to fossil fuels.
The United Nations commissioned a study and had mixed verdicts regarding the outcome as to which biofuel was the best choice over fossil fuels. The report complemented some crop based fuel and gave negative reviews to others. The United Nations’ gave sugar cane a more positive review. The crops of sugar cane grown for fuel and used in Brazil were given the best scores for biofuel. Corn grown and used in the United States, however, was shown to have too much greenhouse emissions and the level of emissions was based on how the corn was planted and processed. The effects on consumers and tax payers were also seen as a negative. The fertilizer used to grow biofuels emits the greenhouse gas, nitrous oxide which is counter- productive to the goals of biofuel as an alternative to fossil fuels.
Another biofuel that was studied is biodiesel palm oil which is grown on destroyed tropical forests. Not only did the forests disappear but the results were that the crops grown to make palm oil released CO2 in the growing process which was even worse than the CO2 released into the atmosphere from fossil fuels.
Sungate Energy Solutions has been working with solar energy as a renewable form of power with no carbon footprints left behind. It even allows the tax payers to benefit by making a switch as well as allowing consumers the chance to take advantage of other incentives to save money as well. Eventually, the original investment for individual home owners is paid back with the residual effect of actually making money on the use of the sun’s energy to allow them to get off the grid. Happily, the conclusion to the switch to solar energy is that a healthier world is the results of the use of solar power.

Alaska has new applications regarding the development of solar energy technology that are currently being developed and used. The Alaskan people are interested in using various methods to reduce their dependency on fossil fuels and the carbon footprints that they leave behind. Alaskans are concerned about their health, wild life, crab and fishing industries as well as their pristine beauty of the land which they want to maintain.
Sungate Energy Solutions is enthused about the structures that use the solar panel, solar hot water heaters, passive solar energy systems such as architectural design and other methods of using the sun for power. To capture the sunlight for power, photovoltaic cells are used that make up the modules for solar panels.
Passive solar applications used in Alaska are not being used in home and industrial site designs to make the most of sunlight. Windows are placed where the optimum amount of sunlight can provide both heat and light. Solar energy is captured in units for solar lighting.
It may be cold in Alaska, but there is still plenty of sunshine for the solar industry to prosper as much in Alaska as it does in California. Sungate Energy Solutions has more information regarding solar energy and the products and services available.

Sungate Energy Solutions would like to explain photochemical smog. This type of smog has been present in California for years. Unfortunately, many areas of California have all of the conditions necessary for this type of pollutant to thrive. These conditions come from pollutants put out by automobiles, trucks, buses, motorcycles and any other vehicles that operate on gasoline or diesel fuels that travel our highways constantly. The second important contributing factor is sunlight and California has a lot of that.
The results of pollutants such as nitrogen, hydrocarbons and other oxides plus sunlight form ozone. Ozone is considered corrosive and is extremely harmful to humans and all other living things. Sungate Energy Solutions has worked for alternatives to oil and coal for over three decades. Knowing that so many of the vehicles on our highways plus lots of sun equals smog. Adding the pollutants of fossil fuels from heating and cooling our homes and businesses to the ozone produced by vehicles will only keep us on the path to more air pollution.
There are alternatives to fossil fuels such as solar energy. If you’re interested in learning more about California Air Quality, the California Air Resource Board exists to promote clean air and protect public health with the reduction of air pollutants. Sungate Energy Solutions would like to suggest that California Air Resource Board’s website which is available to you through the EPA. Sungate Energy Solutions and the California Cash for Appliance Program is something all California citizens should know something about, especially if they’re considering buying new energy savings appliances in the near future. One of Sungate’s many objectives is saving people from wasted energy costs. Of course, solar energy is a topic that Sungate can help you gain information about as you move towards renewable energy and away from the use of fossil fuel use. However, there are appliances that are in homes all over the country that run inefficiently costing families far more money to run than Energy Star appliances.
The California Energy Commission has been allocated $35.2 million dollars to participate in a cash for appliance program called the State Energy Efficient Appliance Rebate Program (SEEARP). SEEARP will administer rebates to California consumers so that they can get rid of certain old appliances in return for purchasing an Energy Star labeled appliance that has been deemed energy efficient. The three categories of appliances are washing machines, refrigerators and window air conditioners. These rebates are in addition to existing rebates.
Contact the California Energy Commission for more information on the SEEARP project. Contact Sungate Energy Solutions for more information on renewable and clean products and systems for your home.

Sungate Energy Solutions is continually looking for the means that lead to solar energy advances. Scientists are constantly trying to improve ways to make solar energy more efficient regarding solar cells. These cells are vital to all systems powered by the sun and their function is to capture sunlight and turn it into power. Experiments regarding how to best have solar cells capture energy has taken researchers on many journeys.
One of the latest scientific discoveries is the use of pokeberries to coat fiber based solar cells. Solar cells need absorbent materials to capture the sunlight and turn it into power. Recent research has found that the reddish purple dye from pokeberries is a good coating to use cells as its light absorbent. These plants can be grown in any climate so this product can be cultivated worldwide.
Pokeberries have been used as dye for many years. They have been used as a basis for ink since the civil war and now scientists have developed means to use the dye as part of the solar cells needed to trap sunlight for energy. A process has been discovered to coat plastic sheets with this absorbent dye which creates a viable and flexible surface for light to be captured. Since pokeberries can be grown locally including in developing countries throughout the world, these plants will help solar energy to be produced more efficiently and less expensively. Solar Irradiance by definition means the average incoming solar radiation taking into account the angle at which the rays hit a particular part of the earth’s surface. Solar irradiance is dependent on the location of the earth’s atmosphere and the latitude of where to measure where it’s taking place. Solar irradiance can come to the earth directly or through cloud cover which is indirect. When we define irradiance further, it’s defined as the amount of electromagnetic energy on a particular surface per unit and per unit area.
Why is solar irradiance so important? It’s important because it influences the climate of the earth and its relationship to the earth determines the effect of long-term climatological changes such as global warming. It can be measured by scientists. The radiant energy that comes from the sun has been termed by researchers as luminosity. This is very important to scientists who want to understand the variations of luminosity and how it effects weather changes on earth. Researchers who are concentrating on conditions on earth that effect climate changes so that we can determine whether these are related to the sun’s radiation or because of serious environmental affects that man has made on global warming due to pollution and the overuse of fossil fuels. Variations in luminosity are being studied to understand the sun’s rotation, convection and magnetism. All of these will be useful in researching solar energy for the future. Sungate Energy Solutions has a large part of its mission the quest to create products that will help mankind live better in the future with a kinder relationship with the earth. Renewable energy such as solar is the answer to the reduction and reliance on fossil fuels.
Please contact Sungate Energy Solutions for more information regarding how we can help you to live a healthier environmental life.

To understand baseline quantities Sungate Energy solutions would like you to explore the minimum quantity of electricity and gas at the lowest possible rates. It’s used by energy companies as a means of conserving energy. Each bill a residence receives should have a baseline quantity on it and it’s computed based on the billing cycle or the number of days that equals the last billing cycle. If the resident’s energy usage is below the average baseline usage, that amount is billed at a lower rate than if the amount of usage was above the baseline average.
In order to find your monthly baseline quantity, compute the numbers in this way. First locate your baseline territory on your bill. Multiply your daily quantity times the number of billing days. All of that can be located on your bill. If you’re having trouble finding this information, contact your energy provider for assistance.
If you want to compute your savings, it’s important to know how much you have spent. Sungate Energy Solutions can help you discover the savings of both your money spent on energy as well as how can help to save the environment. Please check with Sungate Energy Solutions for information and allow us to meet with you so that we can show you how your home can be free from the use of fossil fuel as it’s being used today.
